Yes and it will grow back, but it takes 1 year to grow back 6 inches of hair. It takes time, but it will grow back, dont worry about that.

I have. I like my hair short. Your biggest problem, when you decide to go long again, is figuring out what kind of inbetween cut to get when your short, short cut gets shaggy. Also, what to do with your hair when it's between say ear length and shoulder length. Good luck!
