Short hair or not?!?!?!?!?

Help! I'm in need of a hair cut but i don't know how i should get it done.

I've got long hair and i can't decide if i should get alot cut off or just have a trim as i don't know if i'd suit short hair. Any one got some suggestions on what to do?

I always thought long was good and my hair up until recently has always been long. I cut it short mainly at the "suggestion" of my spouse who thought it might help curtail the shedding...LOL I got it cut and you know what, I like it...and I still shed, so go figure...LOL

maybe get some long layers....but keep the general length....you look nice with the length.....

if you do decide to cut if off, don't go shorter than your shoulders.

Well from my personal experience, hair is just hair. I have cancer and lost my hair to the chemotherapy. It has started growing back now. I always had long hair my whole life. Always past my shoulders and straight. Now it's about three inches long and CURLY. I don't like it, but at least I have hair now! So, do what you feel. If you like your hair the way it is just get a trim. If you want to try something new, go for a new cut. Maybe try having it to your shoulders as a first step and then if you want to go shorter go shorter. Remember though, beauty is on the inside. :)

If you have it long, you can always make it short with a style, but once short it has to grow out to be long.

Still, if you ask me, I prefer short hair on a girl. I think it looks more modern.

personally, i dont think short hair looks good on anyone, but if it would make you happy, make sure you find a hairdresser who can do it right... it can go wrong sooo easily

long is pretty. mine is long. half way down my back. but i am getting it cut jsut below my shoulder tomorrow, im getting it layered, dyed, feathered and a fringe. if you want a dramatic change do something like me. if not then get a trim. good luck.

Trim off split ends and such, keep it long. You have more styling options. Here are some of my faves:
