A designer "mess" would probably be the best way to go.

Work with it, play it up and use bright spray in colours, don't try and play it down, spike it.

Apply some gel etc and scrunch and manipulate individual strands. Nearly all bad haircuts can be disguised using the right tools......i know, i've had my fair share.

What about a cool bandana or trendy cap?

I do all the above and it is great fun to experiment. You'll be really surprised at what suits you and all the different looks you can achieve with short hair. Enjoy it.

go for a sort of natalie portman look or natalie imbruglia.. google them (i think they may have grow their hair now but you'll find old pics somewhere)

you can put the back up in a ponly tail and put any bangs to the side or up on your head . also you can put gel in it and sytle it.

TO YOUR SHOULDERS IS FINNEEE! but its really cute when you have big side-swept bangs and then you put the rest of your short hair into a little pony tail. SO CUTE. but if thats not your style, i would suggest getting it angled so it looks more trendy.
