My girlfriend has shoulder length hair and it looks great on her, i wouldnt want her to have long hair, she just wouldnt look as good. You need to figure out what you want and if he breaks up with you for short hair kick him to the curb.

Shoulder length isn't bad. Did you tell him that? Anyway, to answer your question most guys just don't think short hair is as feminine, and therefore it isn't as attractive.

I think overall guys love the things about women that make us WOMEN. Long hair, breast, butts, hips, etc. Things that women possess. They are like fascinated by it. So when they feel you are going to take one of these features away they freak. I would still do it if it makes you happy. It's your hair not his it will grow back. He'll probably end up liking your new cut anyway :)

its not. my ex gf had it when we were dating. heck it was shorter than mine and mine is a typical guy length, but i loved it. but typing this i just read shoulder length, which is also very nice.
