Pros and cons of short hair??

Okay.I would like you guys to come up with the pros and cons of cutting my hair short.My hair is nearly to my waist and I want to cut it above my ears cause I'm bored and want to try something new.Thanks!

Pros: It'll be something new; YOU want it; people who can pull it off look GREAT with short hair; it's more of an attention-getter than long; it has been scientifically proven that, if you keep short hair until you're old, your wrinkles (assuming you have them ;)) will be less noticeable.

Cons: Depending on how old you are--or the guys around you--expect a G.I. Jane joke or two; it'll take some major getting used to, especially if you've had long hair for a long time.

Pros: it looks cute, it's something different

Cons: you will be cold this winter, there aren't many different styles to use

Pros: It can be styled faster because there's not as much.....It's just plain hot!!

Pros: Easier to brush and manage. Healthy because hair needs to be cut every once in a while, Isn't always in your face when your trying to do something.

Cons: cant put into ponytail

-loose the sexy feeling of long hair

You don't have to worry about tangles or looking messy etc.

Not as many styles you can wear

You might not like it

It will take a while to grow back

Cons: less styling options, once you go short you cant go long

Pros: easier to style, variety of cuts, less time spent washing, dries quicker, more dramatic, it'll be a new look, less split ends, shinier hair, hair at the roots are always more moisturized than at the tip, so you'll have healthy hair, no more snags and tangles, and you can always clip it with cute clips.

Pros:

Doesn't take as long to dry after washing.

Doesn't require as much shampoo.

No long hairs all over the place.

It won't fall over your shoulders and get in your way

when you lean forward.

Long hair adds years to your looks when you get to a certain age.

Umm... That's all I can come up with for now.

Easier to take care of

Gives you a new look

Cons:

Cold for winter(although a cute hat could fix that =])

Sometimes shrter pieces tend to want to do their own thing and be a pain in the you know what.

I cut my hair from my waist to my ears in a spiky sort of hair cut and I regret it. It's been one and a half years and it's still growing. It's been a pain growing out.

Maybe just cut it up to your shoulders, have it layered and get bangs.

pros: in summer, it's nice to have short hair that doesn't stick to your neck all the time, a cute bob is in (katie holmes), helping other by donating hair to organization like Locks of Love, use less shampoo?, everyone has long hair, you'd stand out enough from the crowd with a pretty haircut.

cons: can't be put in a ponytail, and if it can, the hair always comes loose, would take a while (long while) to grow back to your length now.

i am thinking of doing the same thing but now i am kinda second guessing it.

pros- its cute, chic, hot depending on how you style it.

it doesnt get in your face that often, plus when its windy it doesnt blow all over the place like long hair does.

cons- you cant really style it like you would with long hair. since its so short, you cant really like tie it up and also its hard to curl because there isnt that much of it. so your pretty limited when it comes to styling options. Also, what if you dont like it? or if it doesnt frame your face well, then you have to wait like a year for it to grow back long enough.

what i am thinking of doing with my hair is well my hair is like 5 inches above my waist and i am thinking of cutting it like a little bit past my shoulders. sort of like vanessa hudgens hair or how it used to be . but i am not quite sure, because i love my long hair and i think it makes me look older and i like curling it.

so i dont know yet.

but ask your friends and family, see what they think. i have asked like 15 people and all of them except 3 said i should keep it long. so ah i have no idea what to do.

Well, it depends on how you look. I honestly can't tell you if it would work without a picture. Go to a GREAT stylist and ask them what might be the BEST haircut for your face shape and look because Im pretty sure that you can't really make that decision on your own. The last thing you want to be doing is growing out a horrible haircut.

Pros:

Many people look good with short hair, but I don't know if you will. It gives you a more sophistocated look too.

Its also easier to get ready in the morning.

Cons:

Eventhough it looks good on many people, there are some people that look horrid with it.

There are less hairstyles that you can do with short hair.
