Hi,it depends on your own personal choice, i am 47 and i still have long almost waist length hair,i am happy with it the way it is,so if you prefer yours long then stick with it,you are you,not your mum,so tell your daughter,if she doesn`t like it to look the other way.Say when she gets hers done the same way as her nans,you may think about getting yours cut .

id have the perm, that can shorten your hair, without cutting it. question would short hair suit you? next time you are in town together, try wigs on short with a perm in see what your daughters opinion is then.
