My hair is uneven all over. It's long in the middle and short in the front and back and very fine. The thought of having boy short hair scares me, yet I wonder will that look better, more full than what I have now?

I cut all mine off about 6 years ago and it took forever to get any back. The growing it out process was awful, trying to keep from just looking shaggy. I also think some people are made for those type of cuts and some aren't. I wasn't!

I dunno I would let in grow a little bit more in the front and the back and then cut it! It will be too dramatic to go to a boy hair cut!! GOOD LUCK!!

since its thin, a short bob with small layers in the back and side sweeping bangs will help make it look thicker. the longer it is the stringier it will look. but unless your a size two, don't go boy short.
