Styling tips for short hair....?

I have really short, razor cut/choppy hair with layers and bangs.

That's what it looked like when I first got it cut a couple of weeks ago and now my hair [on the sides] has grown past my ears by an inch or two. And in the back it's almost to my shoulders [which sounds kinda ****** up o_o]

I love the scene hair style [but I can't get my hair dyed/extentsions 'cause of school], so any help on that?

theres a japenese way i love when i go crazy put it up on two very high short ponytails then get hairspray andmess all the extra pieces to make a spiky set in the back!
