I got my hair cut short and colored, the color really damaged my hair!?
Use Garnier Fructise!! Trust me, I had my hair all the way up to my lower back, I
f*cked up and went to some cheap hair salon for a dye job and they also completly ruined my hair. I had to cut practicly cut it ALL off, but when it grew, it was frizzy and dry. My hair stood looking like a friggin hay mound for like, 3 years!! I started using Garnier and Dove and now my hair is shiney and curly again!! P.S. Try to lay off the heat for a while. Give your hair time to heal.=)

Give it time to grow out.

Get a heavy moisturizing shampoo and don't return to that hairstylist, they must not know what they are doing because using correct coloring and a good cut it should not have damaged your hair AT ALL. Though this may sound really bad, you might have to go and get it re-cut somewhere else that is notable. Try going to a friends hairstylist for a change (only if they like your hair)

Get your ends trimmed every six weeks
Keep it conditioned after each shampoo
Wash your hair only as needed, so as not to dry out your hair.
Avoid using heat on your hair on a daily basis
Once the hair color grows out, don't get your hair colored again for a while.

The color didn't damage your hair, a bad hairdresser damaged your hair. You should work on deep conditioning, not using flat irons or dyers at a high heat level. In addition, try to find a good hairdresser. The split ends will only be repaired by cutting them off. Good luck.
