my dads making me get my hair cut short cuse he doesn't like it long. my hairs not even that long. its about 1/4 an inch over my eyebrows and only about 2 1/3 inches long every were. and only about an inch over the ears. And he says he wants my hair not going over my ears at all. and wants my hair to be 1 inch above my eyebrows and 2 inch's off every wheres else. What do yall think i should do?? Im thinking maybe paying for my hair cuts from now on so he doesnt have much of a say unless he cuts it him self.. Im scared. i dont want my hair short. i look ugly with it short.

Ask your barber for a "triple ott". If you don't like it, it will grow back anyway and it will surprise your dad and maybe get him off your back for awhile.

My son went through the "skateboard" look. His bangs got below his eyes and it drove him crazy.

The look now is short, clean cut. Abercrombie Fitch American Eagle type of guys.

He loves his hair short now and would never go back to the longer look again.

Whether you pay for your haircuts or not he has a say so now you present yourself. Try not to be disrespectful toward him as your father and accept that he is thinking of your image.

The longer look it going out anyway so get use to it. You can start a whole new look at your school and be proud of it.

the shaggy hair cut is back in for teenaged guys, see if you can show ur dad that the other guys your around have shagged hair and your hair is a way that you express your personality,

and if that dosent work you can always give him the choice ....

It depnds. How old are you? I think that after a teen reaches about 16, they should have some say in the style of their hair. Have a mature conversation with your dad, and it he won't liste, pay for it yourself.

you didn't say how old you are, you should talk with him to try to compramise or as you say pay for it yourself, some people are just against long hair, my son is 3 and he has never had the back of his hair cut yet, and my dad keeps wanting me to get it cut, but I won't... LOL

You fail to give your age so I have to assume that you are still a minor. I am also assuming that you still live under your father's roof. Based on these assumptions I suggest that you do as your father says unless you are prepared to accept the consequences which could include changing you address. Changing your attitude is much easier I can tell you. When you are an adult then you make your own decisions about everything concerning your life but until then..........................

If you are under legal age or living under his roof....then yes, He can tell you how your hair will be groomed.

Don't worry about it i knew a guy in school that usually wore his hair long and so all the girls knew he looked good with it and when his dad would cut it really short it looked kinda silly but there was always the memory of how good he looked with the long hair and it would grow back and when you are old enough to say what goes with your hair you can grow it as long as you want unless an employer demands otherwise

ask him if you keep it out of your eyes by keeping it pinned back around him ,if he would let you wear it the way you want? you can even keep it behind your ears. tell him you dont want to be made fun of by your friends and your not a boy.
